State of the art Digital Mammography machine is dedicated to carry out screening for Breast Cancer as well as follow up of those diagnosed and under treatment or high risk cases.
Breast cancer being a leading cause of cancer mortality among women world-wide, it is important that screening be carried out for women at high risk (with family history of cancer) and routinely in women over 40 years of age. Mammography picks up lesions at an early stage when they are treatable by local resection and other modalities. Doubtful lesions require regular clinical as well as radiological follow-up.
